African Women Service Trust (AWOST) is a local Organization founded by a team of women volunteers in the social sector to bring together specialized development interventions at the grass root levels. It was formed as a result of an increase in domestic and female child based violence, whose root cause was poverty at the household level. It was realized that poverty was also an issue of the mind which needed to be tackled by the people themselves.
